Host an event

Have an event to include in Startup Week? Tell us about it!

What is a Community Event?

Community Events are independently organized programs that take place during STL Startup Week and are submitted for inclusion on our public schedule. These events are hosted by local founders, entrepreneur support organizations, businesses, creatives, and anyone who wants to contribute something meaningful to our entrepreneurial community. You'll design and run your event — we’ll help promote it to our audience.

Community Event Requirements

Events must be somehow related to innovation, or entrepreneurship.

Events should be free* or low-cost to attend to keep STLSW accessible for all.

No sales pitches, political messaging, or inappropriate content.

Events must align with our Code of Conduct.

You’re responsible for your own venue, logistics, registration, and outreach.

Community Events will be clearly marked on our website schedule.

Community Events must be submitted online on the STLSW website by Friday, Oct 24, 2025

*For paid Community Events, we encourage offering sliding scale pricing or free admission options to ensure cost isn’t a barrier to participation.

How to Host a Community Event

  1. Design your event:
Choose your audience, topic, and format. Panels, workshops, meetups, performances — it’s all fair game.
  2. Choose time & place:
Try to avoid overlapping with similar events or locations to maximize turnout. Check the event schedule for planning purposes.
  3. Set up registration:
Use your preferred platform (e.g. Eventbrite, Luma). Include a clear description, schedule, and logistical info (parking, accessibility, etc.).
  4. Submit your event:
The deadline to submit Community Events for STLSW25 is Friday, Oct 24, 2025. Submit your Community Event here.
  • Audience Alignment – Is the content appropriate for STL Startup Week’s early-stage and growing entrepreneurs?
